I worked on a few parts of the Omnicell XT Cabinet series. Most were areas that received high areas of user interaction and required focus in organization and prioritization of goods. I contributed to the form of the inner locking handles, supply drawer graphics, form of the open dividers, medication dispenser graphics, contact card, and coloration on many different parts.
Working with the Hardware Engineering Test Team also allowed me to create several test stands that mimicked real life scenarios. I utilized a combination of parts made from a 4 axis CNC, 3D printer, and machine shop tools. By seeing how long a product could last in the field, we could make design changes accordingly.
I was involved in the creation and fabrication of the test stands shown in this video
This is a breathing exerciser that focuses on improving the life of men who suffer from asthma. Men’s health is not as commonly discussed or funded compared to women’s health. This opens up a lot of design opportunities in an unexplored area.
ASPIRE is a drug free device that works out the lungs by restricting the intake of air. It has been medically proven to improve breathing if used several times a day.
This design for the urban family is an activity that everyone can participate in. It is created with environmentally friendly materials and even cleans the environment around them by using reverse graffiti.
Reverse graffiti is removing dirt, dust, or particles from an existing dirty surface to produce an image. Unlike regular graffiti, reverse graffiti is designed to fade away over time or until it is washed off.
The home is a very personal space, a place where a family can relax. It should be a place of comfort and safety. Burglaries, natural disasters, and accidents are all threats to this and most families do not have a preventative or emergency plan is something were to happen. We saw a window of opportunity in upgrading all these areas to provide a cohesive safety and security solution.
Adults never really outgrow their toys, the toys just get bigger and better. This toy gives both the adult and child the joy and pleasure of owning a toy car.
For the adult, the car is highly detailed and inspired by the classic Datsun 240z.
These renderings were created with Solidworks and Keyshot.
The goal of the project was to design a low cost prosthetic that fits a child's needs in aesthetics and functionality, while using materials local to Columbia. Colombia is a nation that is scattered with land mines from previous wars. Children who are curious and play in the fields often become victims of triggering a land mine.
Having a usable prosthetic can be difficult given their constant growing and their difficult financial circumstances. A build manual is available so that this leg can be easily reproduced with workshop equipment in Columbia.
This project is about cost effective design with the environment in mind. My goal was to create a product for low income families where they could save money.
This hanging planter designed to make the initial growing and nurturing process easier and more efficient for first time gardeners. Its main purpose is to become an income generator for low income buyers and to promote a healthier lifestyle regardless of space available.
A phone case which includes a compact tool set. Made for the every day tinkerer, it is always on hand for quick, small tasks.
This was an exercise in precision machining. The case was manually milled from two separate pieces. A mix of matte and texture finishes gives it durability and anti-scratch properties.
The High C is a unique typographic and flatpack furniture. Flatpack construction allows for easy shipping and quick construction with no adhesives or hardware needed. The user is also free to customize their own chair with various finishes, padding, and straps.
Although designed for babies, the Interlocking plywood panels provide enough strength to sustain the weight of an adult.
Solace is for cancer patients who are undergoing chemotherapy, specifically during the infusion process. This is a time where they may undergo social isolation from family and friends. Solace helps to keep them connected with their love ones and be able to receive support when needed through the app.
This is a unique coffeemaker in that it relies on gravity rather than a water pump to deliver the perfect amount and temperature of water into the grounds. Inspired by the ideologies of Dieter Rams and Braun, the design also introduces a new experience for the serious coffee lover. Interactions between the user and the coffee maker are simplified and minimal, shifting focus to the quality of the coffee itself.
